Gundarang (Waterlily)
This painting represents the beautiful blue flowered waterlily, the waterlilies roots (dugay) stems and seeds were eaten traditionally.
Spiritually the waterlily represents rebirth and wisdom.
The colours reflect Gumbayngirr countries rich and vibrant recourses as traditionally the land was very plentiful and neighbouring tribes would all come to share in the abundance of food and recourses.
