Yarrawarra - Gathering Place

This artwork represents Yarrawarra a gathering place, meeting place and community spirit. It reflects the importance of coming together to share stories, knowledge, culture and connection across generations.

Flowing throughout the artwork are pathways symbolising journeys travelled and the invisible threads that connect us all through Country, family and community. The layered movement within the piece represents memories carried, stories passed down and the strength found in belonging together.

At the heart of this artwork is Ngurrala “ours” a collective sense of belonging, connection and shared spirit. A reminder that we are never alone, but deeply connected to each other, our ancestors and Country.
