Colours of Country

This original painting, Colours of Country, represent the Jullum (Mountains), Bindarray (Rivers), Gaagal (Ocean) and all of the intricate elements that make up our natural world... plants, trees, animals and the energy of the Jagun (Land). The centre piece is a meeting place and the lines travelling outwards represent the journey, showing connectedness with community, people and their own individual paths in life. The centre is where they all come together in ceremony and meet to celebrate life, nature and Miimi Marraal (Mother Earth) by sharing food, dancing and gathering as one.
