"Miimi," meaning "Mother," is a remembrance of the time of creation and the essence of life itself. This painting captures the moment when our hero ancestors first created Mother Earth, breathing life into all of existence.

Using a blend of colours and textures, "Miimi" depicts the birth of the earth, the emergence of the first sun and moon, and the formation of waterways and mountains.

"Miimi (Mother)" is about the sacredness of the earth and the importance of respecting the deep ancestral knowledge embedded in country.
